The God Heru
The God Ausar
The Goddess Auset
According to our Ancestors, those who left the hieroglyphs and sacred writings in ancient Kemet (Egypt), the Falcon Headed God Heru (Horus) was the Son of Auset (Isis) and Ausar (Osiris) who defeated the God Set, restored world order and symbolized the rising sun.
The modern Kemetic practitioner sees Heru as a divine aspect of one's self. As a solar deity he represents the Heart Chakra and is experienced as having full power and control over one's self.
The embodiment of Heru is the identification of realizing one's fully divine self, walking fully in that identification and honoring the God Heru in so doing. Heru represents the Light, the Glory and the fullness of Divine Power within man.
Ausar has been memorialized in ancient Kemetic philosophy as a vegetation God and King of Kemet who was murdered by his evil brother Set over the Kingdom. Set scattered Ausar's body in many pieces, that were eventually reanimated by Auset (Isis) through magic ritual. However, Ausar having lost his physical life could not retake his earthly throne and ruled Kemet from the underworld.
Ausar represents the physical and masculine aspects of our daily life and the ongoing battle between our lower and higher selves. When we take on the personification of Ausar, "Anuk Ausar, I am Ausar" we take power of our earthly throne in opposition to our lower selves. The God Ausar is very well described by Ra Un Nefer Amen in his book Metu Neter Volume 2.
The Goddess Auset (Isis) is known for claiming the torn pieces of her slain husband's body through magical incantations she received from Tehuti (Thoth) and through her power was able to resurrect Ausar.
Auset represents the divine feminine aspect within each of us and the power we possess through our concern for the human life and its transformation to immortality. Through the Divine Feminine Principle, we open ourselves to all the possibilities in life with our ability to tap into our subconscious, connect with higher intelligences and perform powerful feats.
It was through the peformance of her magic that Auset was able to reconnect with Ausar and give birth to the Holy Child Heru (Ourselves).
